Legacy Homes

Privacy policy

What this covers

This policy explains what personal data Legacy Homes collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website, to the enquiry forms on our property pages, and to the forms attached to our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram.

We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.

What we collect

When you make an enquiry, we collect what you give us. That is usually:

  • Your name.
  • Your phone number, your email address, or both.
  • Anything you choose to tell us about what you are looking for, such as your timing or the kind of property you have in mind.

We do not ask for your identification number, your income, or your bank details in order to make an enquiry. If a transaction later requires documents of that kind, we will tell you at the time why they are needed and who they go to.

When you browse the site we also receive ordinary technical information: your device and browser, the pages you looked at, and which advertisement or link brought you here. We use this to understand which of our campaigns are working.

Where it comes from

Directly from you, in almost every case: a form on this site, a form inside one of our advertisements, a WhatsApp message, a phone call, or an event we hosted.

If you complete a form inside a Facebook or Instagram advertisement, Meta collects your details on that platform and passes them to us. Meta’s own privacy policy governs what Meta does with your data. Ours governs what we do with it once we receive it.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
  • To arrange viewings and to represent you in a transaction if you ask us to.
  • To tell you about properties that match what you told us you were looking for, until you tell us to stop.
  • To keep the records that our profession and the tax authorities require.
  • To measure our own advertising, so we know which campaigns are worth running.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass it to other agents or to developers for their own marketing.

Cookies and the Meta Pixel

This site uses cookies to keep it working and to attribute an enquiry to the advertisement it came from. We also use the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta that a visit or an enquiry happened so that we can measure our campaigns and reach people with similar interests.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also control how Meta uses your activity through the ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account. The site will still work with cookies blocked, though our attribution will be less accurate.

Who else sees it

Your details are visible to the Legacy Homes salespersons handling your enquiry, and to the service providers who run the systems we use. Those providers process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for anything else. They currently include our website and database hosting, and Meta for the advertising forms described above.

We will also disclose personal data where the law requires it, including to the Council for Estate Agencies or another authority acting within its powers.

Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them to work with you, and after that for as long as the law requires us to hold transaction records. When neither applies any more, we delete them.

Leads submitted through a Meta advertisement form remain available to us on Meta’s platform for 90 days. We download them well inside that window and hold them in our own system.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Stop contacting you. Withdrawing consent takes effect as soon as we can action it, and we will tell you if it means we can no longer help with something you asked for.

Write to us at hello@killjoydesign.com and we will respond within 30 days. If we cannot meet that, we will tell you when we can.

Keeping it safe

Access to enquiry records is restricted to the people who need it, and our systems require an account and a password. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that puts your data at real risk.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.
